Project Overview
-
Application: Infrastructure & Tunnel Construction
-
Product: Long-Distance Voltage Step-up & Step-down Transformer System
-
Capacity: 1250KVA per unit (4 Units Total)
-
Installation Site: On-site Construction Hub
The Challenge
In large-scale tunnel engineering, the power source is often located kilometers away from the actual construction site. This long-distance transmission leads to severe voltage drop, preventing heavy-duty machinery (such as Tunnel Boring Machines) from starting or operating at full capacity. For this project, the contractor needed a robust solution to ensure zero downtime and 100% power stability under harsh outdoor conditions.
Our Solution
Our engineering team designed and deployed 4 sets of 1250KVA high-capacity transformer cabinets. This system utilizes a "Boost-Transmit-Buck" strategy:
-
Step-Up: Boosting voltage at the source to minimize energy loss during transmission.
-
Step-Down: Precision voltage regulation at the terminal to provide a steady, rated power supply to the equipment.
Key Technical Features
-
Industrial-Grade Protection: The IP54-rated outdoor enclosures are engineered to withstand dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures common in tunnel environments.
-
Superior Core Technology: Equipped with high-purity copper windings and low-loss silicon steel sheets for maximum efficiency and longevity.
-
Advanced Thermal Management: Integrated ventilation slats and automated cooling fans ensure the units remain within optimal temperature ranges during 24/7 operation.
-
Customized Cabinets: Features a reinforced structure for easy transportation and on-site positioning in rugged terrains.
Results
The units have been successfully commissioned and are currently fully operational. The project team reported a significant improvement in power quality, with no equipment failures due to voltage fluctuations since the installation.
